Privacy Policy
AIZEVO is a read-only news site. We don't take accounts, we don't take payments, and we don't sell your data. Here's the short, honest version of how visits to AIZEVO work.
At a glance
AIZEVO is a read-only news and commentary site. We don't ask you to sign up, we don't take payments, and we don't sell or share your personal data. This page explains the small amount of information that still gets exchanged when you visit, why it's needed, and what your rights are.
- We don't collect your name, email, or account info — there is no sign-up or login.
- We don't sell your data — not now, not ever.
- We don't run advertising trackers or third-party ad networks.
- We use the minimum technical data needed to deliver the site and keep it working.
Who we are
“AIZEVO”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the people running this website. AIZEVO publishes news, commentary, and research summaries about artificial intelligence. You can reach us any time at hello@aizevo.com.
What we collect
The site is built to work without accounts or forms. In normal browsing, the only data handled about you is:
- Technical request data that every website receives: your IP address, user-agent (browser and operating system), the page you requested, the time of the request, and the referring page if any. This is standard for web-server logs and is used to deliver pages and detect abuse.
- A theme preference (light or dark) saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers your choice. This never leaves your device.
- If you email us, the message and the email address you sent it from, so we can reply.
If we add optional features in the future (for example, a newsletter), we'll update this page first and only collect information you voluntarily provide.
Why we use it
We only process the information above for the following purposes:
- To serve you the pages you request and keep the site online and fast.
- To remember your theme preference between visits.
- To protect the site against abuse, spam, and attacks (for example, rate-limiting or blocking malicious traffic based on logs).
- To respond to any message you send us.
- To comply with legal obligations where applicable.
Under the EU and UK GDPR, our legal basis for this processing is either legitimate interest in running a secure, functional website, or legal obligation where the law requires us to retain certain records. We do not rely on consent for anything except clearly optional features, which we will ask for separately if and when they exist.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted third parties to deliver the site. They act on our instructions and are bound by their own privacy commitments:
- Hosting / CDN — serves the pages and static assets. Receives standard request data (IP, user-agent, URL) to deliver the response.
- Supabase — stores the articles and related content that the site reads from. As a visitor you are not written to this database; only article content is read back to you.
- Email (if you contact us) — an email provider routes messages you send us. The provider sees the standard email metadata required to deliver the message.
We do not share any data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics networks.
International data transfers
AIZEVO is available worldwide. Our hosting and database providers may process technical request data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where applicable, those providers rely on standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or equivalent legal mechanisms to protect transferred data. If you have questions about a specific transfer, email hello@aizevo.com.
How long we keep it
We keep data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected:
- Server logs (IP, request details) are typically retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging, then deleted or anonymised.
- Theme preference remains in your browser until you clear it.
- Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for reference.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can contact us at hello@aizevo.com to exercise the following rights, subject to local law:
- Ask what, if any, personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete information we hold about you.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Request a portable copy of any data you've provided directly.
- Withdraw consent for anything that relies on consent.
If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another region with a data protection authority, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with that authority. We'd appreciate the chance to resolve concerns directly first — drop us a line and we'll do our best.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and CPRA, California residents have specific rights. We want to be clear about the ones most people care about:
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@aizevo.com.
Children's privacy
AIZEVO is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data we handle, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site and reputable service providers with their own security practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we aim to minimise risk and respond quickly if something goes wrong.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the site evolves. When we make a material change we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page, and for significant changes we'll try to highlight them in a visible way on the site. Continued use of AIZEVO after an update means you accept the revised policy.
